Use Social Media to Boost Business Bottom Line

Isn’t it time you learnt how to grow and market your business or organisation on free social media platforms like Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn?

Marketing a business online is now about sustaining profitable relationships with consumers.  Social networking sites like Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and blogs and other social media magnify word of mouth and affect how businesses show up in search engine results.

Never has it been more important to know how to engage with potential customers on sites where they spend most of their time online.

The Social Media Starter Course is designed specifically for people who are new to social media but find they have to use it in their day to day jobs, either to market a business/organisation or grow a professional network.

At the end of this course, you will have learned how to:

  • Use social media marketing to increase your website traffic: get on page one of Google's search results without spending a penny!
  • Use Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn to reduce marketing costs by generating more qualified leads.
  • Use free online tools to monitor the online reputation of your business or organisation.

This course is not a basic overview of social media platforms with a view of leaving you to work out how to use them.

We will be sharing the same actionable insights that have helped Real Fresh TV generate real business using social media since we launched in 2006.

Real Fresh TV’s hands-on social media training courses are carefully structured and designed to be completed within a morning session to give course attendees the opportunity to attend to their core business in the afternoon.  Lunch and refreshments are provided.

Please note: places are strictly limited and are available on a first come first served basis only. Book now to avoid missing out.

About the Social Media Starter Course

Whether you are responsible for creating marketing campaigns or getting the word out about a new product or service, this interactive four hour workshop gives you the knowledge you need to start making mutually beneficial connections with consumers using social media.

The Social Media Starter Course, the UK’s longest running ‘social media for beginners’ course is the ideal environment to learn how to use free social media tools like Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook strategically to grow and market your business or organisation.

Learn which social media tools are best for connecting your business or organisation with potential customers, time saving tips and techniques for getting started and in-depth case studies of businesses getting it right.

The ubiquity of high speed internet access means that your customers are probably talking about you online, to anyone who will listen!

Learn how to use free online tools to monitor the online reputation of your business or organisation and present a human and personable face to new and existing customers, before a PR crisis takes place.

The Social Media Starter Course shows you how to increase your marketing return on investment by building trust and extending your circle of influence online.  The end result?  More customers buying your products or services.

After attending a Social Media Starter Course you will:

  • Know which social media platforms are most effective for marketing and growing your business
  • Know how to combine social media with traditional marketing to connect with new clients and prospects
  • Have a thorough understanding of how to use social media like Twittter and LinkedIn to grow your professional network

In addition:

  • You will have received concrete advice on which social media platform provides the best return for your business/organisation
  • You will have the confidence to implement a structured social media marketing strategy for your business/organisation
  • You will understand how to measure your social media marketing to ensure success

Topics covered

What is social media?  Why is it important?  How can it create a competitive advantage for my business or organisation in these times of economic uncertainty?  What are the key technologies involved and which ones should I devote time to adopting?

Alongside an interactive presentation and Q&A session, we devote a substantial section of the course to putting together a social media strategy for a real marketing problem.

Please bring along a marketing problem or issue you would like addressed.

The Venue
The Social Media Starter Course takes place at Peter House, the landmark building in the centre of Manchester’s established and vibrant business district, with views overlooking Barbirolli Square and St. Peter’s Square.

The course is delivered in a small, intimate classroom environment with no more than 14 attending ensuring you have one-to-one contact with the course leader.  Lunch and refreshments are provided.

How Do I Benefit?

You may need to make a case for using social media in your work place.  What better way than by pointing to case studies of successful social media campaigns run by well-known brands?

We demonstrate the benefits of using social media complete with UK-specific brand case studies and examples.

You may need to use social media to raise awareness of your business and engage with potential customers of your products and services.

We show you how previous Social Media Starter Course attendees have used techniques learnt on the course to grow their customer base on key social networking sites and successfully sell products and services.

We also show you how to develop a social media strategy that can be integrated into a traditional marketing campaign.
